Be aware that there are only 2-3 spots in the entire complex where you will be able to make a phone call. Even with a cell booster, I got 0 signal. Paid wifi is available, but only the premium service is usable, and that will cost you $7 a day. Even premium service is unusable when the campground is full.
The place was run down and most of the long term campers don't keep their sites clean or nice. One restroom was shut down for awhile and the next closest one had no toilet paper (I checked every stall). The pool area was decent but crowded.
The South side laundry was very dirty and neither it or the adult lodge has been cleaned or maintained in a very long time. You can't use the laundry there unless you get a card and fill it in the North side laundry. There are no signs telling you this. You have to get a card from the ranger station, go to one laundry, fill your card, go back across the street, and hope you put enough money on your card. The fun part is, the washers and dryers are priced at $2.25 and $1.25, so you'll end up with cash on your card you can't use.
Bathrooms were nice and cleaned regularly. The dog park is spacious, secure, and has some shade. There is a well stocked store and restaurant with simple, homey food on site. It's quiet at night, except for Saturday nights. The residents are friendly and it's like a neighborhood. Those are the plusses.
Nice quiet place but it could use some upgrades.. a gym maybe, cell phone service and other improvements are needed.
Annual sites in the L section are really nice with hedges in between sites, the adult pool, a laundry room, and shade trees. Unfortunately, none of the other sites are quite as nice. Most are not gravel, and are very dusty, without privacy or much shade.
Me and my husband arrived at the park excited and left within 2 hrs FURIOUS! We pulled up and the lady tried explaining to us where we could park which she said wherever.. so we went to L21 it was a lovely spot so when we went to retrieve my husbands license and tell them our spot (you must leave your license with them while picking your spot?) And they informed us we must move bc that's a leased spot.. so we hook up and move to a different spot and soon find out its a 30 amp when we needed a 50. So we go to the staff and ask where the 50 amps are and they didn't know and when I asked what we were to do if there wasn't a 50 amp available they didn't seem to care if we left and got our money back! One of the staff members went out of her way to be rude to us once when I asked for help and again when we were leaving the park! It didn't even look like the pictures they put up on their website! And no cell service or Internet! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! WON'T RETURN!
Same old run down TT Park. Low income people with old worn out coaches. Lots of kids. OK for short stays. Nice access to downtown San Diego. No Cell Service on any carrier. WiFi is costly and off more than its on. Free WiFi nearly always off. They have filled the park with cabins and annual spaces. Difficult to find an open dpace go paying members.
